Adjusted the mirror alignment within 50 nanometers. Adopted for the largest optical infrared telescope in East Asia, the Kyoto University 3.8m telescope!
The "JSD Ultra-Compact Displacement Sensor" is a product designed to suppress fluctuations caused by temperature changes, with the sensor implemented in ultra-low expansion clear ceramic glass.
It has been adopted for the Kyoto University 3.8m New Technology Telescope Project.
A total of 144 sensors are used to adjust the displacement of the 18 segmented mirrors of this telescope to within 50 nanometers (where a nanometer is one billionth of a meter).
【Features】
■ Suppresses fluctuations due to temperature changes
■ Implemented in ultra-low expansion clear ceramic glass
■ Expected to advance the understanding of explosive phenomena known as gamma-ray bursts
